Just wanted to let you folks know that your national team won gold medals at the just recently concluded World Youth Championships in bridge (the card game/mind sport).
Last year, that same team finished 3rd in the European Championships in the U-21 category, which was already somewhat a surprise and a feel-good underdog story. This time, they’ve outdone that achievement and took the entire thing, on the world stage.
I’ve had the opportunity to meet these kids and their coach at the annual Tallinn Bridge Festival for last few years and they’re all a bunch of great people, I’m so happy for them.
I suppose this might be too obscure to hit your mainstream media, so just wanted to share the news so you could also feel happy and proud for them at least for a little bit.
